Are we lucky or not?

This Tuesday was the day we went to do the ultrasound on the advice of our vet. It was day 20 from the insemination and 21 from the day we took that progesterone test that resulted in us packing the car a few hours after for a long trip.

Ivy has been showing all typical signs of pregnancy but still we are not sure if we will have puppies in April or not. Anyway, the screen showed us an empty uterus and of course we all got sad.

Our vet recommended us to come back next week to be fully sure.

Of course this news hit us hard but that is how the life of a breeder is; ups and downs.

BUT according to saluki breeders - they can be little tricky! Some breeders have got a negative result on day 21, 24 and even day 28 but still got little puppies 😳

So Saluki breeders does the ultrasound on day 30 and not a day before.

Could it be we are lucky or not?

We will now next Friday!

When we got home from the vet, Ivy went directly to rest. When it was time for her to eat - she didn't want to eat... also a sign of pregnancy.

But as I said before, it can also be a false pregnancy.

Not easy!

So let's keep our fingers crossed a little bit longer!
